We ❤️ movies.  

Many of us do what we do because we love storytelling. There's nothing like the way a film can pull you into a time, a place, or a feeling so completely it shapes how you see the world after the credits roll. At Very True Story, we realized each of us has our own touchstones: films that shaped us, dazzled us, or sometimes just made us question everything.  

So in 2022, we started our very own movie club: Video Vault. We'd rotate who picked the film, then come together to dissect, discuss, and (often) defend our choices. It started as a chance to share movies from our youth, then evolved into a crappy little spinner we built online to choose a category instead. Not just your standard top-10 lists, but a chance to get to know each other a bit more as we navigated the world as co-workers, artists, pals, and occasional film festival compatriots. From the very bad to the incredible and everywhere in between, we're way over 100 movies deep and counting.
